WOMEN'S COOPERATIVES ARE GETTING STRENGTHENED!
As EkoDoku Sustainable Living Cooperative, we continue our advocacy and awareness-raising activities regarding the Sustainable Development Goals, which we have adopted as a principle, with solidarity and cooperation steps with women's cooperatives.
The Sustainable Development Goals, set forth by member countries of the United Nations with the aim of achieving them by 2030 in order to protect the planet Earth and ensure that all people live in peace and prosperity, envisage transformations in the functioning of the environment, economy and social life in order to end poverty, combat inequality and injustice, and reduce climate change.
In this transformation, cooperatives stand out as organizations that produce pluralistic and voluntary solutions to social and economic problems.
Women's cooperatives are very important, dynamic and effective tools for the interaction of development goals, especially the empowerment of women and girls and the achievement of gender equality, especially when the aim of reducing poverty is taken into account.
As EkoDoku Sustainable Living Cooperative, we took a step in solidarity and cooperation to strengthen women's cooperatives in Ankara.
We took our place in the “Women's Cooperatives 4th Regional Meetings” organized by KEDV and Simurg Women's Cooperatives Union, which initiated the cooperative movement for women in 2002, in order to support network development, resource and business development processes among women's cooperatives.
We are happy to be a part of this formation and to contribute.
We are hopeful for all women, our planet and future generations about the solidarity of women's cooperatives and their transformation into stronger structures.
